Look at how this field shakes out. Following Layne Riggs securing his sixth victory of the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season on Saturday afternoon at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the entire grid for this year’s Chase is officially set.
Riggs takes the top seed into the postseason after his Loudon triumph, leading a stacked group of contenders. Kaden Honeycutt slots in right behind him, followed by Chandler Smith, Christian Eckes, and Gio Ruggiero to round out the top five. The remaining postseason spots are filled out by Ty Majeski, Grant Enfinger, Daniel Hemric, Ben Rhodes, and Tyler Ankrum.
That final spot was an absolute nail-biter. Ankrum barely scraped into the top ten and final postseason position after wrestling with brake issues at Loudon, bringing his No. 18 McAnally-Hilgemann Racing machine home in 16th place in the Granite State. It was just enough to survive the cut.
Unfortunately, that meant heartbreak for the drivers just on the outside looking in. Stewart Friesen fought hard for a fourth-place finish on the day, but it simply wasn't enough to advance, leaving him missing out by seven points. Jake Garcia also fell short after securing a 14th-place result Saturday, missing a Chase berth by 11 points.
Now, ten drivers are set to clash for the 2026 Truck Series championship across the final seven races of the year. The high-stakes action begins with The Chase opener on Thursday, Sept. 17, at Bristol Motor Speedway.
