This Privacy Policy describes how OneRacing ("we," "our," or "us") handles information in relation to our mobile application that provides a global hub for automotive events ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
2. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect the following information:
• Account data: Username, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash — we never store your password in plain text)
• Profile data: Optional profile photo and any information you choose to add to your profile
• Favorites: Motorsport categories and content you mark as favorites
• Game activity: Scores, streaks, and results from daily challenges
What we don't collect: We do not use advertising trackers, analytics SDKs, or sell your data to third parties. Account creation is optional — you can use the app without registering.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve the app:
• Authentication: To identify you when you log in and keep your session secure
• Personalization: To display your favorites and saved preferences across devices
• Leaderboards: To display your username and scores in public game rankings
• Communications: To send account-related emails (email verification, password reset)
4. Data Storage
Server storage: Account data, favorites, and game scores are stored on our secure servers. This allows your data to sync across devices when you're logged in.
Local storage: Some preferences and cached content are also stored locally on your device for faster access.
Data retention: Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from the app (Profile → Delete Account).
5. Public Information
If you participate in daily game challenges, your username and scores may appear on public leaderboards visible to other users. Your email address is never publicly displayed.
6. Push Notifications
OneRacing may send push notifications to inform you about upcoming races and events related to your favorite categories. Notifications are:
• Sent only if you grant notification permissions
• Based on your saved favorites and preferences
• Fully optional — you can disable them at any time in your device settings
We use Expo Notifications for push notification delivery. No personal data beyond your device token is shared for this purpose.
7. Third-Party Services
OneRacing does not integrate with advertising networks or third-party analytics services. We use the following services solely for app functionality:
• Resend: Used to send transactional emails (verification, password reset). Only your email address is shared for this purpose.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including:
• Passwords stored using secure hashing (never in plain text)
• Authentication via short-lived access tokens and secure refresh tokens
• Encrypted communication between the app and our servers (HTTPS)
9. Children's Privacy
OneRacing is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. International Users
OneRacing is available globally. By creating an account, you acknowledge that your data may be stored and processed in the country where our servers are located. We handle your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy regardless of where you are located.
11. Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: Update your profile information at any time through the app settings
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data directly from the app — go to your profile and tap "Delete Account"
• Guest mode: Use the app without creating an account — no personal data is collected
• Notifications: Disable push notifications at any time through your device settings

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes that affect how we handle information, we will notify users through the app or other appropriate means. The updated policy will be effective immediately upon posting.
