On the other side of the garage, Charles Leclerc had a nightmare. He called it the 'most difficult weekend of my career,' struggling with grip and clearly clashing with his race engineer over the radio throughout the grand prix. It is a testament to his class that he still brought the car home in fourth, but it was a frustrating affair for him. Ferrari now sits second in the Teams' Championship, and as Vasseur rightly points out, the focus shifts immediately to the unique challenge of Monaco.
