Acropolis Rally Greece to feature Athens super special stage in 2026

The 2026 edition of the EKO Acropolis Rally will commence on June 25 with a 1.86km asphalt super special stage at The Ellinikon Sports Park. This opening ceremony will feature a side-by-side format, marking the first major sporting event at the newly developed facility on the Attica coastline.

Following the curtain-raiser in Athens, the rally will shift its central hub from Lamia to Loutraki, with the service park situated at the Hellenic Army Engineering School. The route is set to traverse Attica, the Peloponnese, and Central Greece, incorporating classic stages alongside the return of Arcadia, which appears on the itinerary for the first time in 40 years.

A notable logistical feature of the event involves a ferry transfer from Corinth to Itea for the crews. Spanning June 25 to 28, the rally serves as the eighth round of the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship, with organizers highlighting the move as a fresh chapter for the historic event.
