Here is the thing about racing: sometimes the courtroom battles matter just as much as the fights on the asphalt. Adrian Fernandez has just won a massive appeal through the CAI, which means his finishing positions across the first six Grands Prix of the year are officially back on the board.
It has been a proper mess up to this point. The Leopard Racing rider had originally been thrown out by the FIM MotoGP Stewards over a technical infringement concerning the engines used during the opening rounds of the season. Things looked locked in when the FIM Appeal Stewards subsequently upheld that initial disqualification.
Thankfully, the Leopard Racing team refused to let it rest and took the matter to the CAI. That gamble paid off entirely. The CAI has officially ruled in favor of Leopard Racing and upheld their appeal, clearing the way for Fernandez to have his results from those first six Grands Prix of 2026 fully reinstated.
