Alex Palou takes command in Nashville
Alex Palou is simply on another level. This Monday, he put on a masterclass at the Nashville Superspeedway to secure his fifth victory of the season, cementing his position as the titan of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. Driving the No. 10 DHL Chip Ganassi Racing Honda, he crossed the line to claim the 24th win of his career, moving him closer to a fourth consecutive championship and his fifth title in the last six years.
The margin of victory was razor-thin, as he beat reigning Nashville winner Josef Newgarden by just .8731 of a second. Newgarden, piloting the No. 2 Astemo Team Penske Chevrolet, pushed him all the way, but Palou remained composed under pressure. It was a beautiful display of precision driving in the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix presented by OnlyBulls.
Behind the lead duo, the battle was fierce. David Malukas took the final spot on the podium in the No. 12 Verizon Team Penske Chevrolet. Scott McLaughlin followed closely in fourth in the No. 3 Odyssey Battery Team Penske Chevrolet, ensuring Team Penske maintained a strong presence with three cars in the top four.
Rounding out the top five was Felix Rosenqvist, the 2026 Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge winner, who brought his No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing w/Curb Agajanian Honda home in a solid performance. It was a day where the heavy hitters stepped up, but once again, it was Palou who dictated the terms of engagement.
