Brando Badoer takes maiden FIA Formula 3 win in Monte Carlo

Brando Badoer pulled off a masterpiece in Monte Carlo this Sunday. Starting from second, the Rodin Motorsport driver snatched the lead from Théophile Nael before the first corner, and he simply refused to yield. It was a perfect, controlled performance that saw him lead all 27 laps to secure his maiden FIA Formula 3 win.

Behind him, Nael recovered from a tough weekend in Melbourne to claim second, while Freddie Slater rounded out the podium for TRIDENT. It was a massive day for Campos as well; with Ugo Ugochukwu and Ernesto Rivera finishing fourth and fifth, the team now holds a commanding lead in the Teams’ Standings.

The championship standings have tightened up significantly. Ugochukwu remains the leader on 43 points, but with Bruno del Pino on 35 and Slater on 34, the battle is razor-thin. Badoer has now launched himself to fourth with 28 points, making the next rounds essential.
