Camara snatches pole in Silverstone thriller

It was a masterclass in timing at Silverstone. Rafael Camara, the Invicta Racing pilot, snatched pole position with a late 1:39.690 blast. That final lap was the only one that mattered, vaulting the Scuderia Driver Academy member to the top of the sheets just as the session reached its boiling point.

Alexander Dunne looked like the man to beat all day after leading Free Practice and the opening qualifying runs for Rodin Motorsport. Yet, his final attempt couldn't match the pace, leaving him to settle for P2—a frustratingly familiar spot for his third consecutive Feature Race start. Behind them, Kush Maini claimed third for ART Grand Prix, ahead of Roman Bilinski of DAMS Lucas Oil.

Further down the order, the top six was rounded out by Campos Racing’s Nikola Tsolov and Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak in the second ART entry. Joshua Duerksen, Rafael Villagómez, Ritomo Miyata, and championship leader Gabriele Minì completed the top 10. While Minì missed out on the pole, he salvaged a reverse grid starting position for MP Motorsport in the upcoming Sprint Race.
