Carlberg extends commanding lead at Rally Sweden

Isak Reiersen maintained his momentum throughout the second leg of Rally Sweden, expanding his overnight advantage to 1min 19.5sec. Opting for a measured pace of roughly 80 percent, the Swedish driver claimed six of the day’s seven stage wins, ensuring his lead remains unchallenged ahead of Sunday's three-stage conclusion.

Finland’s Leevi Lassila remains the only driver within striking distance, though he struggled to find sufficient grip on the icy stages, allowing Reiersen to gradually pull away. Meanwhile, Ali Türkkan managed to interrupt the leader's streak by setting the fastest time on Vännäs 2, proving his pace after returning from a previous retirement.

Behind the leaders, Raúl Hernández continues to hold a comfortable third place, prioritizing a points-scoring finish to kick off the 2026 season. Gil Membrado and Craig Rahill round out the top five, both focusing on stable performances as they navigate the fast conditions.

In the WRC3 category, Matteo Fontana remains firmly in control, winning six stages to build a lead exceeding two minutes over Tymek Abramowski.
