Chiara Battig named wild card for F1 ACADEMY at Silverstone
This is genuinely special: 16-year-old Chiara Battig is stepping up to the F1 ACADEMY stage. She has been confirmed as the Wella Professionals-backed wild card entry for Round 3, which marks the series' debut at the legendary Silverstone circuit. She will be behind the wheel of the #6 car operated by Hitech, featuring a striking red livery inspired by the Wella “Make It You” campaign.
Battig is no stranger to the track, having already secured a third-place finish in Race 2 at Silverstone during her current British F4 campaign. Her trajectory has been nothing short of impressive; after dominating national karting as the youngest Swiss OK-Junior Champion, she transitioned to single-seaters with a Red Bull Junior selection, followed by top-10 finishes in the F4 Saudi Arabian Championship and a maiden podium in the 2026 Formula Winter Series.
“Silverstone is one of the most legendary circuits in motorsport, so making my F1 ACADEMY debut here as the Wild Card driver is a dream come true,” said Battig. It is a massive opportunity for the Swiss racer to show her pace on a world-class stage.
