Chris Buescher inks multiyear extension with RFK Racing
It is not often you see a driver stay truly loyal to their roots, but Chris Buescher is officially staying put. The 33-year-old has signed a multiyear contract extension to continue his tenure with RFK Racing, the very organization that groomed him as a development driver starting way back in 2009.
This is a partnership that runs deep. Buescher has been the heartbeat of the team's resurgence, notably winning the Bristol Night Race in 2022—the team’s first victory in five years. Since his return to the No. 17 Ford, he has evolved into a perennial contender, highlighted by a career-best seventh-place finish in the 2023 standings.
“RFK Racing has been home for most of my racing career, and that’s something I don’t take for granted,” Buescher stated. His co-owner Brad Keselowski echoed the sentiment, praising the driver’s professionalism and preparation as the foundation of the team’s recent progress. With eight top-10 finishes already secured this season, Buescher is sitting seventh in points, currently 110 points above the cutline as he looks to keep building the momentum he has found with the team.
