De Vries, Kobayashi, and Conway take Le Mans 24 Hours victory for Toyota
Nyck de Vries, Kamui Kobayashi, and Mike Conway have won the 2026 Le Mans 24 Hours race, driving the #7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid. The victory marked Toyota's return to the top step of the iconic endurance event after a four-year absence.
Close competition saw the winning Toyota triumph by a mere 11 seconds over the #20 BMW M Hybrid V8, piloted by Robin Frijns, Rene Rast, and Sheldon van der Linde. This result delivered a maiden Le Mans win for former Formula 1 driver de Vries, while Kobayashi and Conway secured their second victories in the French classic.
The sister Toyota car, with former F1 drivers Sebastien Buemi and Brendon Hartley, alongside Ryo Hirakawa, completed the podium in third place. The 94th edition of the race featured 16 former Formula 1 competitors, though some, including Sebastien Bourdais and Kevin Magnussen, were unable to finish.
