EKO Acropolis Rally Greece 2026 route revealed
The EKO Acropolis Rally Greece is set for a significant transformation in 2026, moving its host base from Lamia to the seaside resort of Loutraki. This shift brings a substantially overhauled itinerary spanning Attica, the Peloponnese, and Central Greece, with approximately 75% of the total competitive distance consisting of new or revised terrain.
The event maintains its reputation as one of the World Rally Championship's most demanding tests, with crews facing the familiar challenges of extreme summer heat, loose gravel, and rocky surfaces. The action opens on Thursday with a shakedown near Loutraki followed by an asphalt-based Super Special Stage at The Ellinikon Sports Park in Athens. A unique logistical element follows as the rally transport moves crews and vehicles by ferry from the Port of Corinth to Itea ahead of Friday’s competition.
Friday’s opening leg is the longest of the event, introducing iconic stages like Bauxites alongside the only unchanged test from the previous year, Stiri. The rally continues through the weekend with a mix of returning historical tests, such as Ghymno and Kefalari, and brand-new challenges in the Arkadia region. The event concludes on Sunday with two passes of Loutraki, the second of which will serve as the rally-ending Wolf Power Stage.
