Entry list revealed for 2026 Safari Rally Kenya
Toyota Gazoo Racing has announced a strong five-car presence for the Safari Rally Kenya, headlined by the return of nine-time world champion Sébastien Ogier. He will join full-time drivers Elfyn Evans and Oliver Solberg, alongside Takamoto Katsuta and Sami Pajari, the latter running under the WRT2 banner. Hyundai Shell Mobis WRT maintains consistency by fielding Thierry Neuville, Adrien Fourmaux, and Esapekka Lappi, while M-Sport Ford continues its developmental focus with a two-car entry for Joshua McErlean and Jon Armstrong.
The WRC2 category remains highly competitive, featuring notable driver shifts and returns. Gus Greensmith will debut his campaign in a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, while Andreas Mikkelsen rejoins the field with Toksport WRT. They will be joined by Robert Virves and reigning Junior WRC champion Romet Jürgenson.
Local entries remain a highlight of the Naivasha-based event. Reigning African champion Karan Patel leads the Kenyan effort in a Škoda Fabia Rally2, supported by the participation of seasoned Safari campaigner Carl Tundo, who will pilot a Ford Fiesta Rally2.
