Evans secures Rally Sweden victory in Toyota podium sweep

Elfyn Evans claimed his third career Rally Sweden victory, navigating the final snow-covered stages to finish 14.3 seconds ahead of teammate Takamoto Katsuta. This performance marked a significant achievement for Toyota, which achieved a rare back-to-back podium lockout, a feat not seen in the WRC since 2010.

Evans began the final day with a comfortable cushion, which he maintained while also securing second place in the closing Wolf Power Stage. Katsuta, who led earlier in the event, pushed hard on the penultimate stage but ultimately settled for runner-up, while Sami Pajari rounded out the top three. The result moves Evans to the top of the drivers' championship standings with a 13-point lead.

Oliver Solberg finished in fourth place after a recovery drive from a Friday puncture, while Adrien Fourmaux finished fifth for the M-Sport Ford squad. Thierry Neuville salvaged maximum points on the Power Stage to offset a difficult weekend plagued by balance issues. The WRC season continues next month with the Safari Rally Kenya.
