F1 ACADEMY touches down at legendary Silverstone
History is about to be made as F1 ACADEMY rolls into Silverstone for the very first time. It is a massive occasion for the series, slotting in alongside Formula 2 and Formula 3 as part of the Formula 1 support card. Silverstone is one of the most legendary venues on the map, and for these drivers, racing through its high-speed corners is a genuine landmark moment in their careers.
Alisha Palmowski arrives as the one to watch. The Red Bull Racing driver was absolutely dominant in Montreal, sweeping both pole positions and converting them into massive lights-to-flag victories. She holds a 25-point lead in the standings over Emma Felbermayr, and she is clearly feeling confident about finding home success on British soil.
Meanwhile, the pressure is building for the local squad, Hitech. They have had a brutal start to the season, sitting at the bottom of the Teams’ Standings with just a single point from Ava Dobson. With their factory located just metres from the circuit, they are desperate to turn it around here. Keep a close eye on their Wild Card driver, 16-year-old Chiara Bättig, who will pilot the #6 Wella Professionals car. She has already tasted a podium at this track in British F4, and the team will be hoping she can finally break the streak of Wild Cards failing to secure silverware.
