George Russell secures pole position for the Austrian Grand Prix
George Russell will lead the field at the Austrian Grand Prix after setting the fastest time in qualifying. The Mercedes driver edged out his teammate, Kimi Antonelli, who qualified in fourth position after a late session yellow flag prompted by Max Verstappen’s accident curtailed final flying laps.
Ferrari secured the second row, with Charles Leclerc starting ahead of Lewis Hamilton. The McLaren pair of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri follow in the order, while Red Bull’s Isack Hadjar holds the eighth starting spot. Racing Bulls drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad rounded out the top ten for their team's home event at the 4.326-km Red Bull Ring.
