Georgios Vasilakis claims first WRC3 victory at Safari Rally Kenya

Georgios Vasilakis delivered a clean and measured performance at Safari Rally Kenya to secure his maiden WRC3 victory. Navigating the challenging terrain alongside co-driver Allan Harryman, Vasilakis was the only entrant in his category to complete the event without incident, ultimately finishing more than 50 minutes ahead of runner-up Nikhil Sachania.

This victory marks a significant advancement for the Greek driver, who now leads the WRC Masters Cup standings by ten points, while also climbing to third in the overall WRC3 classification. With a substantial lead heading into the final day, Vasilakis opted for a conservative approach on Sunday to protect his car.

While Vasilakis managed his pace, Nataniel Bruun dominated the final day’s action by winning all four stages. Despite his late speed, Bruun’s earlier technical retirements left him in fourth place. Naveen Pulligilla rounded out the podium positions, finishing in third behind Sachania.
