Graham Rahal keeps the momentum rolling in Detroit

Graham Rahal is officially on a roll. Starting from 12th on the grid, the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver muscled his No. 15 Fifth Third Bank Honda to a third-place finish at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix. It is his third podium of the season—a milestone he hasn't reached since 2020. Even after Kyffin Simpson spun him back to 23rd on Lap 38, Rahal refused to fold, showing the kind of grit that moves you up the championship standings.

The race in Detroit was nothing short of wild. While Alex Palou took the win, the chaos behind him defined the afternoon. A massive clash on Lap 77 involving Will Power of TWG Motorsports and Scott McLaughlin of Team Penske effectively ended both of their podium hopes, leaving McLaughlin 19th and Power retired in 22nd. Amidst the debris and the tactical games, Rahal played the strategy perfectly, capitalizing on a Lap 66 caution to vault into fifth before charging to the final step of the podium.

There were other bright spots in the field as well. Felix Rosenqvist continued his own impressive turnaround, charging from 16th to 6th in his No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing w/Curb-Agajanian Honda, while Louis Foster put in the drive of his life to finish 7th for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing. It is a fascinating time in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES right now; as Rahal himself put it, "We had a lot of pace when we needed it." Sometimes, that is exactly what makes the difference.
