IMSA returns to the speed of Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship made its annual pilgrimage to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, bringing the thunder back to one of the fastest circuits on the entire calendar. This 2.459-mile road course, with its 10 technical corners, is a true driver favorite for a reason. It is raw, it is fast, and it always puts on a show for the fans in Ontario.
The headlining Chevrolet Grand Prix saw the Le Mans Prototype 2 class take center stage for the third year in a row. They were joined by the Grand Touring Daytona Pro and Grand Touring Daytona classes, creating the kind of multi-class chaos that makes this series so essential to follow.
It wasn't just the main event, though. The entire weekend was packed with action, as the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, and the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin were all in attendance to tear up the tarmac. From the long-standing WeatherTech championship battles to the tight, frantic racing in the MX-5 Cup, the paddock provided a complete look at the current state of sportscar racing standings and results.
