Katsuta looks ahead after challenging home event at Rally Japan

Takamoto Katsuta faced a difficult weekend at his home event in Japan, where high expectations were hampered by an early incident. Starting the rally with strong momentum, the Japanese driver suffered a right-rear puncture on the opening stage after hitting a bank on a damp section of the road. The resulting tire strategy compromise and a subsequent excursion into the grass in Stage 3 left the Toyota driver reflecting on one of his most challenging days in the WRC.

Despite the early setback, Katsuta fought back to secure a fourth-place finish and a valuable collection of Sunday points. While the result helped him maintain second position in the championship standings, the 33-year-old expressed disappointment that he could not provide a podium finish for the home crowd.
