Lance Stroll reflects on nearly a decade in Formula 1

It is hard to believe that Lance Stroll has been on the Formula 1 grid for almost ten years. Since his debut as an 18-year-old with Williams in 2017, he has lived through the transition from Racing Point to the current Aston Martin works operation. Now 27, he says the secret to survival is constant evolution—learning the dark arts of car setup, mastering changing conditions, and managing the relentless mental and physical toll of a long season.

That said, 2026 has been a brutal test for the squad and their new power unit partners, Honda. When the results go missing, the temptation is to get emotional, but Stroll insists on keeping a steady hand. He remains convinced that the talent at the AMR Technology Campus and new tools like the CoreWeave AIR Tunnel will eventually pay off. He told the team's official site, “I firmly believe in this project, even though right now we’re experiencing some difficult times. The future is very bright and I want to ride this tough spell out and be part of the journey we’re on.”
