Lancia demonstrates competitive pace on WRC return

Lancia made a notable return to the World Rally Championship at Rallye Monte-Carlo, fielding a two-car entry in the WRC2 class with the new Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale. Nikolay Gryazin proved the car's initial pace early in the event, frequently setting benchmark times before his rally was curtailed by the challenging conditions of SS12.

While Gryazin’s weekend ended early after sliding into a tree on a slushy section of the course, he noted that the vehicle's inherent potential remains high. His teammate Yohan Rossel also encountered early setbacks, but managed a strong recovery by setting the fastest times during Super Sunday. Rossel praised the car's mechanical reliability throughout the event and expressed optimism about the team's future development trajectory.
