Charles Leclerc anticipates a challenging Austrian Grand Prix weekend for Ferrari, citing significant difficulties encountered during Friday's practice sessions.

Despite completing 35 laps in the second practice session and finishing eighth, Leclerc felt the team lacked competitiveness, particularly on the straights. He noted that Ferrari is losing considerable time on the straights and expressed surprise at their reduced performance in the corners, an area where they typically excel. Leclerc suggested there is significant work to do overnight to improve the car's performance.

Team Principal Fred Vasseur echoed Leclerc's assessment, describing the day as "tough" and attributing some struggles to the track's altitude and temperature. While acknowledging a recent power unit update, Vasseur indicated it would not provide a dramatic leap in performance. The team's focus remains on self-improvement and maximizing their potential for the remainder of the weekend.
