It is finally clicking for Legacy Motor Club. At Pocono Raceway, the team proved they belong at the front, with John Hunter Nemechek and Erik Jones both qualifying in the top 10 and holding that form through to the checkered flag. Nemechek piloted the No. 42 Toyota to a stunning fourth-place finish—his first top five of 2026—while Jones brought the No. 43 Toyota home in sixth.
This was a masterclass in execution. Nemechek led a career-high 42 laps, finding himself locked in a fierce, side-by-side battle with points leader Tyler Reddick. For a driver who usually fights through the mid-pack, the experience of leading and managing restarts near the front was invaluable. It wasn't just a one-off performance either; Jones has now secured 40 or more points in consecutive weeks for the first time this year, a surge that has pushed him into a tie for 15th in the standings and right into the thick of the hunt for The Chase.
