Leonardo Fornaroli makes his emotional debut for McLaren

It was an absolute whirlwind for Leonardo Fornaroli as he stepped into the cockpit for his maiden F1 practice session at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix. Representing McLaren, the Italian put in a stellar performance to finish the session in P5.

Fornaroli described the experience of piloting the MCL40 as an “incredible feeling.” It is always a special moment when a young driver gets their first taste of a grand prix weekend, and witnessing him handle the pressure so early on was quite the sight.
