Leonardo Fornaroli to test for Haas at Jerez
Reigning Formula 2 champion Leonardo Fornaroli is set to test with the Haas Formula 1 team this week. The Italian driver, who is also a reserve driver for McLaren, will drive the American squad's VF-25 car during a Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) event.
The test is scheduled to take place over Wednesday, June 17th and Thursday, June 18th at the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto in Spain. Haas' own reserve driver, Ryo Hirakawa, who recently competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will also be present at the test.
Fornaroli secured consecutive titles in Formula 3 and Formula 2 between 2024 and 2025, leading to his signing as a McLaren reserve driver for the current season. He recently made his official Formula 1 Free Practice 1 debut with McLaren ahead of the Barcelona Grand Prix, where he set the fifth-fastest time.
