Marchino highlights hurricane relief efforts through unique rally livery
Italian-American driver Marchino has drawn significant attention at the WRC service park not just for his racing, but for a vibrant livery designed to support those affected by Hurricane Melissa. The October 2025 disaster, which caused widespread destruction across Jamaica, became the focus of the driver's charitable campaign after a discussion with a contact at the Jamaican Motoring Club.
Determined to ensure any aid was both effective and transparent, Marchino coordinated with the Jamaican government to establish a traceable fundraising path. The project gained momentum quickly, with the distinctive Jamaican-themed Citroën C3 prepared in time for the season opener at Rallye Monte-Carlo. Local partner Sparco further supported the initiative by rushing the production of custom matching overalls.
Beyond the financial contributions, Marchino notes that the emotional impact on the Jamaican public has been a highlight of the season. The gesture has resonated deeply within the Caribbean nation, earning significant media coverage and boosting local morale. For Marchino, who competes for the pure joy of the sport, the ability to blend professional rallying with a meaningful humanitarian mission has become the most rewarding aspect of his time on the world stage.
