Here's the thing about qualifying at Assen: margins do not get much tighter than this. Championship leader Maximo Quiles (CFMoto Gaviota Aspar Team) will lead the field from pole at the Dutch GP after pulling off a stunning lap, but it was an absolute nail-biter. Joel Kelso (GRYD Racing) pushed him all the way, ultimately forced to settle for second by a microscopic gap of just 0.025 seconds. Completing the front row in third place, rookie Brian Uriarte (Red Bull KTM Ajo) takes P3 with a brilliant run.
Now, the battle for supremacy at the top was pure theater on the track. Kelso actually laid down the quickest time after the first runs, showing serious pace. Uriarte then bettered that lap to shake things up, before the Australian hit right back to reclaim the upper hand. However, Quiles simply had something left in the locker when it mattered most, finding the speed to take over on pole and deny his rival.
Looking just behind the top three, Marco Morelli (CFMoto Gaviota Aspar Team) secures P4 to back up his teammate. He will be joined on the second row by Adrian Cruces (CIP – Green Power) and David Almansa (Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP), with Almansa's notable run of poles finally coming to an end here.
Further down the order, Indonesian rider Veda Pratama (Honda Team Asia) successfully heads up the third row. He lines up ahead of Alvaro Carpe (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and Guido Pini, who just pips his Leopard Racing teammate Adrian Fernandez to round out the immediate picture.
