Mille Johansson set for WRC2 debut at Rally Sweden
Junior WRC champion Mille Johansson is set for his maiden appearance in the WRC2 category at Rally Sweden, taking place in Umeå from 12–15 February. As part of his championship prize, the 20-year-old Swede will pilot an M-Sport Ford Fiesta Rally2, marking the beginning of a four-event program that will also include rallies in Croatia, Portugal, and Finland.
Johansson faces a deep field, including former Rally1 podium finisher Teemu Suninen, who leads the competition in a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2. The entry list also features familiar faces from the Junior WRC ranks, such as Taylor Gill and Romet Jürgenson, both of whom are looking to establish themselves in the faster Rally2 machinery on the high-speed snow stages.
While Johansson enters the event with previous Junior WRC success on snow, M-Sport Team Principal Richard Millener emphasized that the focus is on development and team integration. Alongside local rival Isak Reiersen, the young talent aims to gain valuable experience while competing against the established benchmarks in the class.
