Look, nobody wants to see the championship leader taken out before the lights even go out on Sunday. Maximo Quiles of the CFMoto Valresa Aspar Team is completely sidelined for the British GP race after a brutal qualifying crash on Saturday left him with a broken right collarbone.
The #28 machine has built up an insane 104 point lead over a stunning first part of the 2026 season. That massive cushion gives him four races in hand before anyone could possibly depose him from the top of the standings. Still, the setback is a heavy blow, and he will undoubtedly be eager to get back in action as soon as possible.
By Sunday of the British GP weekend, the Aspar Team officially confirmed that Quiles had already undergone successful surgery in Madrid to fix the fracture. Recovery has officially begun while he sits out race day in the UK.
Get well soon, Maximo!
