Motorsport mourns the loss of Cyril Blais
It is with heavy hearts that the racing community acknowledges the passing of Cyril Blais. As the Team Principal of MSG, Cyril was a cornerstone of the collaborative efforts between MSG and Citroën Racing, playing a vital role in their Formula E programme from the very beginning.

Beth Paretta, Managing Director of the Citroën Racing Formula E Team, spoke for many when she noted that the team had known and worked with him for years, adding, "Cyril believed so much in this team and we will respect his family's wishes to honour him in the best way we can, by continuing to race in his memory with the exact dedication and passion he instilled in all of us."

Jeff Dodds, CEO of Formula E, expressed that Blais’s passing is a devastating loss for MSG, Citroën Racing, and the wider community, confirming that the paddock will pay tribute to his legacy during the Tokyo E-Prix this weekend. Xavier Chardon, CEO of Citroën, and Olivier Jansonnie, SVP of Stellantis Motorsport, echoed this sentiment, describing the loss as particularly painful given his long-standing contributions to their programme.
Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) President Mohammed Ben Sulayem joined in the tributes, remembering Blais for the integrity he brought to the sport. "His passion, determination and belief in his team were evident in all he did," Ben Sulayem stated, offering his condolences on behalf of the FIA to those fortunate enough to have known and worked with him.
