NASCAR arrives at Sonoma for a road-course showdown
The high-octane machines of the NASCAR Cup Series and the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series are descending upon Northern California for a challenging road-course weekend at Sonoma Raceway. It is going to be a fascinating test of precision on the technical circuit.
For the Cup Series, the action culminates on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET on TNT Sports. The teams have been allocated seven sets of tires for the weekend, including five new sets for the race, one for qualifying that carries over, and one for practice. Crucially, they also have six wet-weather sets at their disposal should the skies open up.
Meanwhile, the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series takes to the track on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. ET on The CW. These teams are working with five sets of tires across the weekend, with four additional wet-weather sets available if conditions turn unpredictable.
