NASCAR prepares for a historic tripleheader at Naval Base Coronado
NASCAR is making history this weekend with an absolute beast of a tripleheader at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego. It is a stunning logistical undertaking that puts three different series on the same stage for a weekend of racing.
Everything kicks off with the Craftsman Truck Series, which hits the track on Friday with practice sessions at Noon ET and 1 p.m. ET, followed by qualifying at 2 p.m. ET on FS2. The O’Reilly Auto Parts Series gets their practice time in at 3:30 p.m. ET on Friday via The CW App, with group qualifying set for 1 p.m. ET on Saturday on The CW.
Finally, the Cup Series takes center stage. They will hold practice at 5 p.m. ET on Friday on Prime Video, with group qualifying scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, also on Prime Video. It is going to be wild to see these machines navigate the naval base.
