NASCAR stars trade steering wheels for combat gear in new special
It is an absolutely wild crossover. Ahead of the inaugural event at Naval Base Coronado, six NASCAR Cup Series stars have traded their race cars for a series of elite challenges against United States Navy SEALs. The special, titled “NASCAR vs. Navy: The San Diego Mini Movie,” is officially live on Prime Video.
The lineup features Christopher Bell (Twister), Ryan Blaney (Whiskey), Chase Briscoe (Hoosier), Noah Gragson (Rizz), Carson Hocevar (Hurricane), and Connor Zilisch (Nugget). Watching these guys step into a world of military precision is something else, especially with the 3.4-mile street-course racing on the horizon.
Ryan Blaney seemed genuinely moved by the experience, noting the rare chance to explore the base’s aircraft and connect with the personnel who serve there. Christopher Bell echoed the sentiment, calling the upcoming race atmosphere on the base a unique experience they will cherish forever. It is a stunning bit of pre-race buildup before the Craftsman Truck Series, O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, and Cup Series machines take to the track this weekend.
