Nashville Superspeedway faces weather disruptions for race weekend
It is that time of year when the intensity of NASCAR’s three national series—the NASCAR Cup Series, the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series—converges on Tennessee. The Nashville Superspeedway is the place to be, but the weather gods have decided to intervene.
Unfortunately, the skies haven't been kind. Qualifying for both the Cup Series and the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series was completely canceled due to inclement weather, forcing officials to set the lineups according to the NASCAR Rule Book. It was a similar story for the Craftsman Truck Series, where rain brought a halt to the qualifying session midway through. In this sport, you have to be ready for anything, and these teams are now left to rely on the rule book to determine their starting positions for the weekend's action.
