Noel Leon claims a brilliant lights-to-flag victory in the Monte Carlo sprint race

It was a masterclass from Noel Leon in Monte Carlo. The Campos Racing driver didn't put a foot wrong, taking his second win of his rookie FIA Formula 2 campaign with a lights-to-flag performance that was as clinical as it gets. He nailed his start from pole, effectively silencing any hope the rest of the field had of snatching the lead before the first corner.

Roman Bilinski, driving for DAMS Lucas Oil, deserves his flowers for a beautiful drive to second place—his maiden podium in the series. He put Leon under immense pressure throughout, but Leon's tyre management was the deciding factor. Behind them, Alpine Academy’s Gabriele Minì crossed the line in third, successfully holding his ground to complete the podium.

Rounding out the top eight, Joshua Duerksen finished fourth for Invicta Racing, leading home Dino Beganovic in fifth and Martinius Stenshorne in sixth for Rodin Motorsport. Kush Maini took seventh for ART Grand Prix, with Invicta Racing’s Rafael Câmara taking the final points position in eighth. Now, eyes turn to the Feature Race, where Câmara will start from pole alongside Red Bull junior Nikola Tsolov.
