Noel Leon secures maiden F2 pole in Spielberg
Noel Leon has secured his maiden Formula 2 pole position at the Spielberg circuit. The Mexican driver set the fastest time of 1m 15.544s, placing him ahead of Alexander Dunne and his Campos Racing teammate Nikola Tsolov.
Leon’s decisive strategy saw him venture out alone midway through the qualifying session, while other competitors remained in the pit lane. This allowed him to establish a benchmark time that ultimately proved unbeatable for the rest of the field.
Alexander Dunne finished in second place for Rodin, just 0.129 seconds shy of Leon's pole time, with Nikola Tsolov completing the top three for Campos Racing.
Championship leader Gabriele Minì qualified fourth for MP Motorsport, followed by Rafael Camara in fifth. Sebastian Montoya will start the Sprint Race from pole position.
