Oliver Solberg loses time following snowbank incident in Umeå

Opening the road following Thursday’s stage, Oliver Solberg encountered difficulty during the third special stage when his Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 lost traction in a high-speed left-hand corner. The rear of the vehicle slid wide, resulting in an impact with a roadside snowbank.

The contact caused a puncture to the front-left tyre, forcing the local driver to nurse the car through the final five kilometres of the test. Solberg noted that the heavy accumulation of snow contributed to the rear-end snap that led to his exit from the racing line.
