Team Peugeot TotalEnergies has locked in its exact driver crews for the upcoming 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship season. The French marque is looking to keep its strong momentum rolling after a brilliant run of form in the latter stages of 2025, where the #94 9X8 finished third at COTA and the sister #93 entry claimed runner-up honors at Fuji just three weeks later.
For the upcoming campaign, Paul Di Resta stays in the #93 car, where he will be joined by Formula E front-runner Nick Cassidy and Stoffel Vandoorne. The Belgian driver shifts over from the #94 9X8, which will now be piloted by incumbent duo Loïc Duval and Malthe Jakobsen alongside rising star Théo Pourchaire following his competitive FIA WEC debut at the season finale in Bahrain last November.
Both trios were carefully constructed by weighing technical and sporting parameters to maximize performance across every phase of a race weekend. Team Peugeot TotalEnergies Technical Director Olivier Jansonnie stated that the line-ups offer an excellent balance combining drivers who excel at race starts with those who shine in qualifying, built with a long-term perspective and adaptability in mind.
There are also major leadership changes behind the scenes. Jansonnie is stepping up to become Head of Stellantis Motorsport in February following the retirement of Jean-Marc Finot, while Emmanuel Esnault takes over as Team Principal for the Hypercar program after being announced last month. Esnault brings three decades of multi-disciplinary motorsport experience, including stints with McLaren in Formula 1 and Iron Lynx in endurance racing.
Esnault remarked on the responsibility of leading the operational activities for a fully committed manufacturer, noting the rich heritage Peugeot carries in endurance racing. Outgoing Stellantis Motorsport Director Finot expressed full confidence in Esnault's ability to shape the strategic approach and lead the team forward in an incredibly intense championship.
