Pierre Gasly regains Monaco Grand Prix podium after successful review

Justice has been served, and it is honestly a beautiful sight. Pierre Gasly is officially back on the podium for the Monaco Grand Prix after Alpine’s Right of Review proved successful. The team arrived at the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit and managed to present new, significant evidence to the stewards, finally undoing the two five-second pit lane speeding penalties that had initially demoted the Frenchman from a hard-earned P4 to seventh.

It was a chaotic race that saw Gasly fight from ninth on the grid, navigating two Safety Cars and a red flag to gain position after George Russell served a late drive-through penalty. To see the FIA rescind those penalties and restore the result is the right call for the sport. With the podium reinstated, Red Bull’s Isack Hadjar moves down to fourth, while Oscar Piastri of McLaren and Racing Bulls duo Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad also drop a position in the final classification.
