Racing Bulls take points and frustration in Canada

It was a weekend of wild swings for Racing Bulls at the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit. Liam Lawson battled through a miserable start, having lost vital track time to a hydraulic issue that crippled his practice and qualifying sessions. Yet, the New Zealander turned it around on Sunday, managing the car to a P7 finish despite feeling the heat from Alpine's Pierre Gasly and losing ground to Franco Colapinto. It matches his best result of the season and pushes the team up to P6 in the standings.

Then there is the cruel side of motorsport. The 18-year-old Arvid Lindblad, after a brilliant Saturday that netted him P8 in the Sprint, never even got to turn a wheel in the Grand Prix. A clutch failure on the formation lap left him stranded on the grid, unable to shift gears. It is a genuine shame, especially when you consider the team had clearly made a step forward with their upgrades this weekend.
