Rafael Câmara claims consecutive pole positions in Barcelona
Rafael Câmara is on an absolute tear. The Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy talent secured his second consecutive FIA Formula 2 pole position in Barcelona, setting a blistering 1m 24.810s lap on his very first attempt. Nobody else could touch that time, and quite frankly, it was a beautiful display of precision that left the entire field scrambling.
His teammate Joshua Duerksen followed closely just over a tenth behind, while Alexander Dunne clawed his way back to third for Rodin Motorsport after an earlier lap was deleted for track limits. Gabriele Minì managed to find pace late to take fourth for MP Motorsport, and Rafael Villagómez put in his best performance of the season to round out the top five for Van Amersfoort Racing.
The session wasn't without its drama, as a late red flag was triggered by Hitech’s Ritomo Miyata, who found the gravel trap at the final corner. Nikola Tsolov finished sixth for Campos Racing, ahead of Nico Varrone, while Colton Herta secured his best result of the season in eighth, followed by Kush Maini and Noel Leon to complete the top ten.
