Russell reacts after losing out to Antonelli in Italian Grand Prix

Still, he took a pragmatic view of the pit wall's split strategies, noting it was a roll of the dice where nobody knew the definitive answer in the moment. “It made sense to split the cars but, in the end, Kimi had great pace, and there we are.”

Despite missing out on the top step of the podium, Russell was quick to praise the incredible drive from the other side of the garage, especially after seeing him surge up to P5 and P4 on the leaderboard early on.
