Sami Pajari maintains podium streak despite Rally Islas Canarias challenges

Toyota Gazoo Racing’s Sami Pajari extended his impressive podium run at Rally Islas Canarias, marking his fourth consecutive top-three finish this season. Despite this achievement strengthening his position in the drivers' championship, the Finn remains focused on refining his performance, noting that small time losses across specific sections prevented a stronger challenge at the front.

Pajari expressed satisfaction with his adaptation to the GR Yaris Rally1 on asphalt, highlighting improved confidence ahead of the upcoming Rally Japan. This momentum comes at a critical juncture, as the 24-year-old prepares for Vodafone Rally de Portugal, where a higher championship standing will force him to contend with the challenges of an earlier road position.

With only five rounds completed, the championship remains tightly contested. Pajari acknowledges that while his current form is encouraging, the narrow margins between the leaders leave no room for complacency as the series heads back to gravel surfaces.
