Scott Dixon to leave Chip Ganassi Racing after the 2026 season

The unthinkable is now official. After 24 full-time seasons, six championships, and 58 of his 59 career victories, Scott Dixon will part ways with Chip Ganassi Racing at the conclusion of the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES campaign.

It is a stunning shift in the landscape of North American motorsport. As team owner Chip Ganassi confirmed, the organization offered Dixon a multiyear deal to finish his career with the team, but the 45-year-old driver has chosen to walk a different path. While he currently sits 10th in the standings, the focus remains on closing out his tenure with the No. 9 PNC team.
