Sébastien Ogier leads opening stage at Acropolis Rally Greece

Sébastien Ogier opened the Acropolis Rally Greece by setting the fastest time during the event's inaugural spectator stage at The Ellinikon Sports Park. The Toyota driver clocked a 1:38.2 on the 1.86km asphalt course, outpacing his nearest rival by a clear margin to claim the early advantage.

Takamoto Katsuta secured the second-fastest time, finishing one second behind his teammate, while championship contender Thierry Neuville rounded out the top three. Other notable performances included Sami Pajari and Oliver Solberg, who shared the fourth-fastest time, and Elfyn Evans, who finished in sixth place as he prepares to lead the field onto the gravel on Friday.

The event now transitions from the streets of Athens to the grueling mountain stages, with crews traveling to Itea for the first full day of competitive action. Friday’s schedule features six stages spanning over 129 kilometers, where drivers expect a difficult test of car management and patience on the notoriously rough Greek terrain.
