Silverstone expects a dry and sunny British Grand Prix
It looks like we are in for a proper racing weekend at Silverstone. While last year’s race gave us chaos and a stunning maiden podium for Nico Hulkenberg thanks to the rain, the forecast for this ninth round of the season is looking completely different. A heatwave is moving in, and it appears the fans are going to be treated to clear skies and plenty of sun.
Friday kicks off with a dry day reaching 24°C, though drivers will need to watch the wind with gusts potentially hitting 35 km/h. Saturday stays dry with a high of 26°C, and even if the high pressure shifts, we are only looking at some gusty winds peaking near 50 km/h. Come Sunday, the race itself is set to be a beautiful affair under a mix of sun and clouds, with temperatures hitting 24°C and absolutely no rain in the cards.
It is the perfect stage for what should be an intense battle. George Russell and Kimi Antonelli are set to renew their intra-team fight for Mercedes, though they will have to contend with Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, both of whom will be desperate to stop the Silver Arrows from running away with it.
