Spanish federation and RMC Motorsport announce 2027 Rally1 entry
The Royal Spanish Automobile Federation (RFEDA) has joined forces with RMC Motorsport to develop a brand-new Rally1 vehicle for the 2027 World Rally Championship season. Unveiled at the Rally Islas Canarias, this programme establishes Spain as a primary constructor base for the upcoming technical regulation cycle.
RMC Motorsport, known for its extensive development of N5 category machinery, will handle the technical execution of the project. This partnership represents a significant development for the championship, as it is the first time an FIA member club has directly backed a manufacturer-level entry of this scope.
Following the commitment from the Belgian Project Rally One team last December, this initiative becomes the second confirmed project for the 2027 ruleset. The move is expected to bolster the FIA’s goal of reducing costs and attracting a wider variety of participants to the top flight of international rallying.
