Style in the streets: Monaco welcomes a wave of special designs
Monaco demands a certain flair, and the grid has truly delivered for this year’s race. The most significant shift comes from McLaren, who are celebrating 1000 Grands Prix with an orange-and-black livery adorned with their championship history. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are matching the look with black race suits and a playful LEGO-themed helmet collaboration that is impossible to ignore.
Local hero Charles Leclerc has opted for a striking white suit with red accents, a beautiful tribute to his home race. Elsewhere, Audi is honoring the legendary Tazio Nuvolari by swapping their traditional red for a bold yellow, a theme carried over to Nico Hulkenberg’s custom helmet. Aston Martin has gone for technical art, utilizing a colour-shifting coating on their AMR26 that transforms as the cars navigate the streets.
Personal touches are also in full effect. Lewis Hamilton has brought a shimmering pink helmet, while Valtteri Bottas is sporting a unique design inspired by his local badger visitor, Nigel. Meanwhile, Kimi Antonelli is leaning into the coastal vibes with a blue-and-white helmet featuring his number 12 in Italian colours, and Pierre Gasly is promoting his new drink with a vibrant red lid. Williams rounds out the changes with a clean black-and-white aesthetic for their suits and a pixel-patterned helmet.
